I have had this problem before, but mine did this cause i had a previous version of Studio and an older dazzle capture card installed on my laptop, what I had to do is go through all the folders on the harddrive that had anything to do with the previous version on there and delete eveything that had to do with the older version, if you have a problem deleteing everything out use Safe Mode, I had to do this in order to get everything deleted, I have Vista and thats what I had to do to get 10.0 installed to get to 10.8 upgrade to install and it works great after I had to download three patches for it to make it work on Vista, if that does not work I have no clue, thats if you had a previous version of Pinnacle Studio installed or a older Dazzle
