NextGenBoards Forum Rules - Spam
Spam is prohibited from this forum, if you do in fact "spam" in a thread you will receive a series of infractions; First, your post will be edited/deleted by an admin or moderator, this is considered a 'verbal warning' and should be a good hint to the member that they need to stop. After that, per violation, you will recieve an infraction and 1 point that will stay active on your account for 60 days. If you reach 4 active points you will be banned for 5 days, if you reach 10 active points you will be banned for 10 days. Excessive violations will ultimately lead to a permanent ban.
- Advertising
Advertising is the posting of other sites, not including popular sites such as, You Tube, Google, Yahoo, ESPN, branches off of a search from Google, etc. There will be some exceptions to this rule, but we will not allow you to post anything that is considered advertising of a site that you made, that not many people know of. You are allowed to advertise in your signature, nowhere else. Also if your post says "GO TO THE SITE IN MY SIG" or ANYTHING similar, it will be considered advertising, and fall under the same rules.
- Not-relevant
This means if some one were to say "I like dogs." you shouldn't respond with "Damn, I love playing Ratchet and Clank!1!!11!1!!!" If you do spam, as in you post something not-relevant in the wrong thread, simply press the edit button and say, "Sorry, please delete this post." or else you will have the "Spam" rules put against you.
- Flaming/Beefing
A flame is when you just unload on somebody by talking down on them, par say somebody said "I love football." and you responded with "Go die in a housefire." you would recieve an infraction. - Verbally assaulting another member
This was stated above, but if you talk down on somebody to make them look bad, or call them a name like douche bag or other lame names like that you will recieve an infraction. There will be some exceptions, but not very many.
- Threatening another member
Threatening another member of something is consider flaming, so you will receive an infraction for the action. If it continues, you may be temporarily banned.
- Making fun of someone
This is to a certain extent. You all know there are those leeches that say the DUMBEST things, such as "what's a switch". Try to not reply to those threads, but if you absolutely have to, we'll decide on the content if it deserves an infraction. Although, do not make fun of members because you don't like them from past experiences.
- Enticing/Enabling
Coaxing someone into an argument with 'safe' comments is just as bad as outright flaming them, and will be dealt with in the same manner.
- Images/Videos
There are a few image/video rules you must follow on the forums. Sure, you can post images and everythbing, but stay away from these: Do not post pornography (Auto infraction, possibly ban), Do not post non-relevant pictures in threads, and do not post tons of pictures to spam the forum. The video rules are: Do not post porn, and do not post linked sites such as lemon party, etc.
- Pornography
Guys, do not post nude/porn images/videos on the forums. It will result in an auto infraction, and if to an extent, a auto permanent ban. We are very strict about this material so do not let it happen. Also, dont post links of things like lemon party, etc. That is the same consequences as posting images/videos. This also applies to your sigs
- Signatures
Do not post unappropriate things in your signatures, simple as that. Most of the rules on the forum also apply to your signatures, so if you are wondering about something, contact an admin. You are allowed to advertise in your signature, that is the only place you can advertise.
- Signature sizes
Technically we do not have a size limit on signatures, but please, have a little sense and make sure your signature is not too tall. If you notice your signature has been edited, it was probably too big. If you continue to abuse your signature priviledge, you will recieve an infraction that will be active for 10 days, and possibly have your signature locked.
- Massive Posting of Non-Relevant Pictures
This means you should not post non-relevant images in a spamming type way. This is very consequential, and will most likely result in a ban, so stay away from this.
- Racism
Racism is beefing/flaming someone due to race. Racial jokes are also not allowed on these forums, this is a very big offense
- Posting Racist Comments
This is a huge offense, and you will be pentalized greatly for it, so stay away from racist remarks everywhere on the forum, including signatures.
- Other Forum Rules
These are other rules in which can not be broken, and will result in consequences
- Double/Triple/Etc Posting
This means when you post right under a previus post you made, and so on. Thyis is referred to as double posting, and it is related to spam. Whatever the reason may be, double posting is not prohibited on the boards and it will result in an infraction for every consecutive post.
- Arcade
There are not many arcade rules, the arcade is here for your enjoyment, do not ruin it.
- Cheating on the Arcade
We all know there are ways to cheat the arcade, well, don't do it. One offense and you are banned from the arcade forever, no exceptions. You will also recieve a one day ban on your normal account, so this is big. DO NOT DO IT.
- Shoutbox
Like the arcade, the shoutbox is there for your enjoyment and to interact with other members, most of the same rules apply on the shoutbox as on forums.
- Shoutbox Rules
Do not spam, some is ok, but when you just post random things like "fdhfdkjf;ff'" that will result in an auto ban from the shoutbox. Do not post links to porn, do not advertise on shoutbox, do not post racist comments, and do not flame members on the shoutbox. All of these offenses will result in a banning from the shoutbox, and possibly forum consequences.
- Infractions and Warnings
If you have broken these rules you may recieve an infraction or warning. Listed below are all of the infraction types, amount of points each carries, and how long they last. A warning gives no points.
- Flaming / Insulting
All infractions of this type are active for 2 months. Minor offenses carry 1 point, while more severe offenses carry 2 points.
- Advertising
All infractions of this type are active for 10 days, and carry 1 point.
- Signature Rule Violation
All infractions of this type are active for 10 days, and carry 1 point.
