Who realy holds their breath while firing a sniper? ooo...well i dont i think its a more effective tactic.
While holding your breath u may have your crosshairs still but why if u ran out right before someone pops up? Second, when you shoot with your breath held u actully recoil higher so u loose sight of your target for about 1-2 second. This could be frustrating because now they know where u are. Third, without holding your breath u have to move ur crosshair on your target but have u ever though of just leting your crosshair float and wait for it to get inline with your target? I find this a realy good way to train your patience and wait for the enemy, no the other way around

i don't usually hold breath (which is why i think iron lungs is useless) I guess that because using the ACOG so often you get used to aiming with the sway, to get the same effect of breathing in just move from left to right and your aim will stay still, a bit of a hard concept but some might know what i mean.

Also with the acog some people keep their eye on the scope, i shoot unscope then scope again because you get less sway same thing with the normal scope but it's harder

yeah when i use my sniper i wait till i see someone then hold me breath for like 1 sec just to steady the crosshair and get the kill.

i only hold my breath for still targets thats why i use steady aim instead

i didnt read responses.. your not supposed to wait for an enemy while holding breath. once you see them then do it. second, with it being so still the recoil shouldnt matter with ANY gun as a decent sniper can get a headshot 9/10 times. third, i run & gun. cod4 online isnt a very stealthy game unless its hardcore s&d or normal s&d. but if you waited that long, your record wouldnt be very good as somone may find you before they run infront of you.

i only use it for long shots, if somones running up a hall i just scope and shoot. i dont aim, it works =o

I always hold my breath literally for a brief second when on target. I have steady aim on anyway so cant hold for long anyway.

Yeah, I only hold my breathe when somebody is just standing there, if their running the I just go for it....When you get used to the sway, it makes things easier.

It depends.

I hold my breath when my target isn't moving, or is moving slowly. If they're moving I just fire away
