Double tap or Stopping Power? Which to use?
Whenever I play a game mode that is not harcore(Im a harcore SaD Fanatic) i always asking the question... "Is the guns damage or Fire rate better?"
This is just a quick tip, that will kill your enemy quicker. Most people just put stopping power, and think Oh ok it will kill the enemy the fastest. You are wrong. There are several guns in the game that yeah, that it true for, but many guns that isnt true for. __________________________________________________ Lets just go with the AK-47.Mostly everyone has used this gun before in their lives. Well its damage is alot better then its fire rate. But by putting DOUBLE TAP on a gun that has better damage then fire rate, it will kill the enemy faster then just Stopping power. __________________________________________________ Now lets go with the Saw. Its the First gun under LMG's. This has a CRAZY fire rate(it is almost full) but has a sloppy Damage. If you put Double tap on this gun, it will go extremely fast, but wont be efficent with killing your enemy. So put stopping power on. Therefore with a gun with better fire rate then damage put STOPPING POWER on. __________________________________________________ Note: I did not see a post like this, so i decided to post it. Also this info is more for the people that are just starting off playing cod4... You need to think about range and recoil
If it is close quarters a AK47 with double tap would be good but on long range double tap is useless

Double Tap AK Silenced actually works due to the duff recoil.

but there is not one MAP that is always long distance. you will always meet someone upclose.
and the ak is only a example, the m16 follows the same rules. |

Why bother to put double tap on the AK47 when you could just put stopping power on the AK47u .. Faster rate and with the damage.

Back on topic: I have always just used stopping power, works for me. I figure that i save ammo with SP and don't have to worry about recoil of the faster rate of fire with DT. A very good point has been made though, if a gun is already strong go for the DT if you can shoot wisely and save your ammo. I'm sure it can work for some people. I may have to do some playing around with it for myself. |
