Exclamation Can someone make a thread about how to...
Hey can someone make an OFFICIAL thread on how to defend from hacks, viruses, trojans, and other stuff that try to damage your computer. It should also have good ways to remove them too.

You hackers know how to hack, but DO YOU know how to defend/fix yourselfs from it?

So why not make a thread about it. It will help many people.

I agree very much! all though I have never had a virus or anything wrong with my pc and its 5 years old. I know the smart way to browse the internet. ;)

ehh this isnt as easy as many people think...no matter what you d you computer can still be attacked...my step-brother is a computer security expert and we did a test....we tried 50 different firewalls, virus scanners/removers, phishing detectors..etc you u get the idea....no matter what we did he was able to crack through it and had the ability to destroy anything in the computer...even get personal info like SSID, CC#, and address.....fyi

I have been looking for a free virus checker and found one the Norton security scan and found that i had Trojan.byteverify which is a virus. I have no idea how to get rid of it. I looked at things to do but still cant get rid of it and i don`t wanna put my PC in safe mode or anything. I like things to be free so don`t wanna pay for anything like the full norton package. Anyone know anything i could use?

1. Move to linux. Executables don't run on it, meaning you can't get a virus.
2. Get wine. It's a windows emulator. That way you can test files before you actually use them on your linux PC.
3. Get a good AVG, just in case of those AVG hackers.
