Dual Boot Help?
I have vista installed already came installed when I bought computer. I downloaded windows xp pro sp2 32bit burned to a disk. I defragmented my drive already now what do I need to do?
Important questions read this!!! Since vista came preinstalled if somehow I fuck up during the dual boot I have my recovery disks can I just insert them and it restores everything back to normal? AND Say if I dont dual boot and I just format my hd and get rid of vista completely. So all I have on it is xp and say within a few months I need vista back. Can I just insert my recovery disks and bring vista back and everything? |

1. Partition your main drive, (roughly half, depending on how much HDD space you want to give).
2. Restart your PC with the Xp disk inside, and run it. 3. Make sure when you install you pick the partitioned drive. To answer your second question, yes it will. To your third, just follow the very short and undrescriptive tutorial above and you'll be ok. Any more questions just ask.

I installed vista first, used Norton Partition Magic(get it free of a torrent
) and installed xp on the second partition. When I boot, I used grub so I can choose xp or vista. But, xp is useless and installed suse linux on that partition, its hella good but hard to get wireless internet working.
