quick question

if i format my computers har drive will it remove the operating system as i want to delte everything off it but still be able to use my computer.

well on my acer, i could reboot the whole computer and i didnt loost the os, only word and things like that :|

Just restore it! That will set your computer back to the way it was when you first got it. Erasing all files you put on there since, leaving the OS and other standard stuff intact. Did you get a bad virus?

What you will need to do is to Download Windows live Boot CD or some other Boot cd. insert it in your drive, restart your comp. and boot from cd. Once the cd is booted up go to My computer right click "C" and format. Everything will be erased unless you do it all maually.

Now I don't have a sig that is too big, thanks to the friendly staff @ NGB. You could of just sent me a PM and I would have changed it. Just a heads up for my furure sig's. !

When your computer boots up hit F3 or F12 i think, i dont feel like restarting mine to find out... But there should be an option to restore somewhere in that menu.
