I'm hoping someone can help me i have given google a little go but wont to see if i can make sure im getting the best instructions.

So here is my situation I have Windows Vista and linux ubuntu installed on my C drive when i start my PC i get the menu of which OS i wish to start, now i wish to uninstall ubuntu and install mac osx but i dont want to mess things up while deleting ubuntu.

Here is how im guessing, correct me if im wrong lol if i format the ubuntu partition making it free space on the C drive then shutdown vista then reboot with vista disk in drive and this is were i got some info from google... once the vista disk is loaded then do recovery console to "fixmbr" and "fixboot"

are the the correct steps? if not can you help me out i would be most greatful also +rep for helpers ^^

Don't uninstall Ubuntu. When you install Mac, just choose the linux partition when you want to install. Saves a heck of a lot of time.
