I saw the trailer for this when I saw the Dark Knight


I did a little research, and apparently, this is based off one of the best comics ever. Time named The Watchmen graphic novel to its top 100 novels off all time list. So, I can assume the story is amazing. I also saw that the comic book writer approved of the script. I also liked 300 and this looks like it has a lot of potential to be great. So, in conclusion, I can't wait until march 09.

That movie might not even get released. Apparently Fox owned some of the rights to it and waited till the movie was finished before they started bitching about. So they either want a ton of money or don't want it released at all or something. Look it up if ur really interested.

Yea this movie looks INSANE. I was in Canada with my gitlrfriend, seeing the Dark Knight in IMAX and got to see the preview. The comic was amazing..so I can only imagine how the movie is going to turn out. Definitely looks like a Sin City-esque movie. The visuals look insane and the storyline is supposed to be pretty accurate to the movie. For those of you who are not familiar with the original story, heres a quick overview;

Watchmen is set in 1985, in an alternate history of the United States where costumed adventurers are real and the country is edging closer to a nuclear war with the Soviet Union; throughout the books, the Doomsday Clock is shown gradually ticking towards midnight. It tells the story of a group of past and present heroes and superheroes and the events surrounding the mysterious murder of one of their own.

HAHA I saw the trailer at the Imax in Manchester UK, the trailer said it all really, i'm a Batman fan but this looks like it'll pee all ove the Dark Knight.

I've not read the comic yet the mrs is still reading it.

Dr Manhattan's clockwork looks amazing.

Yea dude, the comic is pretty badass. I would imagine they have the collection on a hardbound graphic novel by now. If not, you can probably go online and find it somewhere. Its definitely worth checking out, especially if you're going to see the movie. I also suggest anyone going to see this, does so in IMAX cause the visual will make you cream your trousers.
