This has happened to me twice before. I got killed by someone and I have no idea who. There was no killcam and in the corner it shows the gun that killed me and my name to the right, but no name of the person that killed me.

hmm.. well sometimes when i kill people it shows my name and the gun i used in the corner but it doesnt show who i killed
and when that happens im usually lagging so it could be that

I've had that sometimes, I've seen someone, they've killed me and I've known it, but it didn't come up in the corner. No biggy just lag. :]

this happened to me too, but i think i shot myself for some reason.
i was playin hardcore S&D, i had my shotty, overkilled with the m4. i had my shotty out and i saw someone coming out of the doorway so i switch my weapon to the m4 and starting shooting, maybe a little bit before the gun was fully out, and i died. bottom left corner showed an m4 then my name and the person who came outta the door had an smg (they had a look of their own) so he couldnt have killed me...
i think its complete lag, but kindda cool.

They probably had an m4 too you just didn't realise. Because it was HC, it would have been harder to tell.

the people with smg's look different (like when you havea snipers rifle, your in a ghillie suit)

this happened to me only the other way around it said i killed someone wen i waz dead iz like wtf!!! but it was nice i have no idea how it happened!! it waz amazin i waz god for a sec!!! jk lag is probably the best posablility and there wasnt any one in last stand
