should i upgrade my hard drive? (i have 80gb)
ok. i have an80 gig ps3. only used about 20gigs of it. i have a buttload of music, video, etc, i would like to put on it, but i still want room for games (future games i get)
i understand i can only use 2.5" SATA hard drives right? those come up to 750 gigs right? how much would say.. a 250 gb one cost? i have litterally no idea. ive never bought one before. i have 200 gigs of music and 200 gigs of videos and TV series. thats right 200 gigs of music.. anyways. i would only download a selected list of them. unless its cheaper than i thought. once i change, will the ps3 have to download anything to the new hard drive to enable me to play games again? like the xmedia crossbar. and stuff? i have an external hard drive i can use to transfer my current stuff. |

Dang, 200gb of music? That like 50,000 songs. But yea, i would suggest upgrading, games are requiring more and more space for installs. Yes it only takes 2.5" drives and a 320GB is like $120, you really have to look around for something in a larger capacity. I've never seen a 2.5" drive over 500GB, which recently was released, I dont think they make a 750GB.

you can get a wireless External Hard Drive from Mac with 1TB of storage for $500.00 or the 500GB for $300.00. Not 100% sure that it works with the PS3, but it would be worth at least asking. I don't see why it wouldn't with the right setting up.
Aside from that I know that you can pick up Hard Drives for cheap now. 250GB's run around $100.00 and around there. Apple Wireless HD Link: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB...s&mco=MzMyMzQy
