my ps3 broke so rang sony they picking my old one up on monday and giveing me a reconditioned ps3, has anybody had to do the same thing and if so what are they like any problems with them? and do they look brand new?

There like Brand new i'm sure.
Anough it isn't the same thing but when my PsP broke I get a re-conditioned one and it worked perfectly and looked brand new.
It dons't work now though because I gave it to my brother and he broke it..

Basically, there a bunch of people out there like you that have had the same sorts of problems. Sony will fix them, give them a wipe over, and then send it out to you to speed up the processing time. So basically, it'll be as good as the person before you treated it.
