Question Changing NAT Type 3 to NAT type 2 on PS3

Hey everyone, I'm trying to set my NAT settings from NAT Type 3 (which is strict) to NAT type 2. Reason why is because I always get disconnected from games such as GTA IV, and I heard its best to have a NAT Type 2 setting. I have Optimum Online, with a wired connection. My router is Linksys, and I'm hoping that anyone can help me with a step-by-step process on doing so. I've done almost everything that I can find out from google/youtube, but each time I do a connection test, I always end up getting NAT Type 3

Thanks for anyone that helps.
