Basically you connect 2,3,4 so on ps3's to a network box within the same house so you can play a game together with friends and have a lan party!!

i thought lan party is when i can play cod4 on pc and ps3 on the game and play together....wow im a noob

LAN = local area network. Basically hooking up multiple PS3's to your router in your home.
