Y'know, there are moments when you have to thank your lucky stars for downloadable content -- times such as yesterday when we got our heads blown off in Resistance: Fall of Man.

Running through the suspended, metal walkways mixed with the dirt-and-grass environments of Axbridge, we were playing pretty well. There was a ribbon for a sniper shot here, a headshot there, you know the drill. Anyway, we crawled into one of the dirty and dank trenches cut into the center of the level, came across two soldiers and hurled a grenade in between them. The ball went boom, we got the kills, and everything seemed right with the world.

Then, a sniper shot rang out from the metal base behind us, and we crumpled to the ground.

Now, we're not happy we lost, but there's no denying how much fun the whole process was, and that says a lot for a game that's nearly a year old. Key to keeping Resistance in PS3s around the country is Insomniac's commitment to downloadable content. This month, a new pack of maps -- Bracknell and our final resting place of Axbridge -- goes live for players to dig into. What are these downloads all about? Well, we've already told you about them in an interview with Ted Price, the president and CEO of Insomniac Games, but let's give you the official descriptions again and follow it up with some exclusive multiplayer video and screens …

Has anyone brought them and can they tell me if they are any good?

I Have, yea there pretty good, camborne and westmorland was a better back but yh.. im outside one already lol

Which map...Bracknell? I saw you had a custom game going on Bracknell 8 the other night.

I bought the map pack but haven't played any games on them yet. You can't get them in ranked yet because of a server bug. I haven't really spent much time looking for glitches. The maps are huge and look pretty good from what I've seen.

Oh dear, I'm not buying them then. If you think that Camborne and Westmorland are better, I won't bother buying these, I thought westmorland and Camborne sucked.
