hi guys i have a ps3 but really want a gamertag so i can talk to my friends on the xbox website. I cant afford a xbox at the minute so can someone make a gamertag. Dont really care about the name. Thanks

Just go to the Xbox.com forums and sign up. You can transfer your gamertag to your 360 when you finally get one.

I would like a gamertag so that i can talk to my mates who have one. I went to xbox.com and signed up but cant send messages cause i need gold xbox live or something. any one got ideas?

Gold account only means you can play online, a silver account will still give you the abilitys to msg and send friends invite.

Further more if you had a Windows live enabled game, you can log into that which has a sort of dashboard where u can msg, and voice chat with friends

Understandably you are attempting to use a service that 360 users pay for, so of course you would be required to purchase the account. Luckily i just sold my 360, and i still have the gamertag access to the xbox.com site. i

Silver is FREE and does everything a GOLD account does except multiplayer.
