if u had only $60 dollars to go buy a new game and u could only get one what would it be GTAIV or COD4..........i would get COD4 cause its a good story and the online is way better but GTAIV is a solid choice as well

I'm bored of both, cod4 is old and boring, new levels were only fun for a few days then its the same old stuff. GTA IV gets boring about 10 missions in then they all start being the same. Make a wise decision because theres a few more new games that have come out and are coming out soon that will have everyones attention and you might be left out. I'm personally skipping haze and going to pick up Quake Wars then when BFBC comes out i'll be on that and gta4 and cod4 will be forgotten.

COD4 definitely. GTAIV is fun, but you can't just pick it up and play for a short bit like you can with COD4. GTAIV requires you to be so much more involved and unless you've got an hour or more to play its hard to actually do anything at all.

I'd say it's to do more with what you like. GTA4 MP is realy good...if you don't get cut off or anything. COD4 is really smooth. Not really an easy choice as they are both great but i love the new gta story. even if it was a little short.

I like COD4 Online/muiltiplayer, very addicting and you have a feeling of purpose to play it (ranks, weapons, camo's, etc.) But the Single player gets old and very "Set pathish" no real chioces just stuck going one way.

I like GTA 4's Single player cause it is extremely innovated, with the "Free roaming" capabilities. It allows you to go about things at your own pace and in your own way which makes the possiblies endless for what you can find and try. The Online is a little shakey in the ways of how it operates and how the host has extreme amounts of power. The connection having trouble holding together, but still has a very fun feel to it.

Bottom Line: I feel that both are extremely great games but they are completly different from each other. FPS and Adventure. Very hard to compare the 2. I would personally go with COD 4 on the base that the online play is more involved and more communication and teamwork is required. Allowing for a enhanced gaming experence, putting it over the top for me. Get both...

Cod wins hands down!

What we have here is two great games.... (obviously).

Cod4:

Cod4 is a great game... the single player is dodgy (as most games) but the multiplayer is the best I have ever seen, with ranks, camo and things you can unlock. You also have to use strategy and use teamwork (talk to your team) and it hardly ever gets boring.

GTA IV:

Once again GTA IV is a great game... except this time, the single player is decent and the multiplayer is dodgy. On singleplayer, you can take your time to do the missions, and do them in whatever order you want, and there is a range of different missions. GTA IV gives you freedom, and on COD4 the missions are basically the same, kill everyone you see.
So, for multiplayer, it lags, shooting isn't very good and I personally don't think the game types are very good.

Overall: GTA IV if you like doing missions by yourself.
COD 4 if you like playing with friends and other people.
