Well do you have a Wirless connection or do you have a Modem?
If you have a Modem just press the standby button and all that jazz, or unplug the ethernet cord from it.

Wirless is a bit more complicating.... You have to do a bunch of crap with Zone Alarm Pro and Cain and Abel.
